Chapter 17-18 blog

      In chapter 17 it mainly focuses on revising and editing, it teaches you what you should be focusing on as you are revising. While still considering the structure and organization or your document. it talks about making sure that readers are able to locate the information easily. If you have a bunch of small paragraphs you might want to combine paragraphs same with long paragraphs brake them up. It also shows different strategies I should use to revise. you can save multiple drafts so you can go back if you wish that you hadn't made a revision. You can also highlighting you main points reasons and evidence. Challenging your assumptions by putting yourself in the place of your reader, or create and argument or objection to ideas. Finally you can also play the so what game and as you read you can ask yourself  so what to gain the best understanding of the reads would think. Another way this chapter talks abut revising is scanning, outlining, and mapping your document. Chapter 17 also talks about your focus as you edit. you should be focusing on accuracy, economy, consistency, style, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. make sure you read carefully when editing.

      In chapter 18 its main focus is presenting your work. How do you make and oral presentation? Make sure you purposeful with your audience. your opening line should capture the attention of your audience. it also talks about how when a writer is writing his or her paper it might not be presented in the way it was written, by using speakers notes. Always be engaged with your audience. Maintain a multimedia presentation Consider your purpose and the expectations you and your audience might hold you too. Chapter 18 also talks about developing a portfolio and a poster presentation.
